Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) has selected 15 projects from 10 countries for this year's Cairo Film Connection (CFC), the co-production, development, and networking section of its industry platform, Cairo Industry Days.

The line-up includes four projects from Egypt, three from Lebanon, two from Iraq, and two from Palestine, alongside one project each from Tunisia, Jordan, Sudan, Algeria and Yemen. In addition, Lina Soualem’s Alicante, an Algerian- French co-production, joins the line-up through CFC’s partnership with Amman Industry Days.

“Our selections for the CFC are the result of months of collective work and in-depth viewing. What excites me most is that behind every title there is not only a filmmaker with a vision, but also a network of collaborators, communities, and histories that the films bring to light,” said CFC director Rodrigo Brum.

“This year, we wanted to build a lineup that speaks both to the realities of the region and to its capacity for cinematic innovation. I believe these projects will spark meaningful encounters in Cairo and beyond.”

CIFF is scheduled to take place November 12-21 while Cairo Industry Days will run November 17-20.
