Golden Horse FPP Features 2025: Full Line-Up

Golden Horse Film Project Promotion has selected 12 Works-in-Progress (WIP) and 38 in-development projects for the features section of the Taipei-based financing and co-production event.

This year’s WIP projects include five documentaries and two animated features. Docs include In The Spotlight, exploring the life of singer Kikuko Yatauyungana during Taiwan’s White Terror era; Sunset Forest, about the conservation of leopard cats and clouded leopards; and Ji Pa Ban, in which director Tay Bee-pin documents his years of following a controversial Singaporean figure across election battlefields.

The line-up of in-development features includes several projects from Golden Horse Award winning or nominated filmmakers, such as Wei Te-sheng, presenting Mount Sancha, a story about a rescue mission that reflects on history and ethnic conflicts; Geng Jun, who is teaming with Golden Horse best actor winner Zhang Zhiyong in dark comedy Born After; and Giddens Ko with Holy’s Home, an adaptation of a novel exploring relations between humans and gods through unique temple rituals.

Several Hong Kong directors have projects in the line-up including Chan Tze-woon (Blue Island), teaming with writer Mukyu for an adaptation of the novel Nothing Happened; Heiward Mak (High Noon) with Nice To Meet You! about the complex ties of three generations of women; and The Way We Dance screenwriter Saville Chan making his directorial debut with love story Under The Peach Blossoms.

Golden Horse Film Project Promotion previously announced 14 series projects, which will also be presented as part of this year’s event, which is taking place in Taipei November 17-19 with the closing ceremony scheduled for November 19.
