IFFR Pro’s Darkroom has selected ten works-in-progress projects for this year’s edition, which will run during CineMart (February 1-4).
The platform presents recently or nearly completed films seeking gap or completion funding, sales agents and festivals with the support of expert consultancy. Each project has either an attached Rotterdam Lab graduate producer or received previous support from CineMart or the Hubert Bals Fund.
Projects selected for last year’s edition included Alexandre Koberidze’s Dry Leaf, which won a Special Mention and FIPRESCI prize at Locarno 2025; Sorella Di Clausura by Ivana Mladenovic, which won best actress award for Katia Pascariu in Locarno; and Gabriel Azorín’s City Of Thebes, which premiered in Venice Days.
In addition, IFFR Pro will present a selected of immersive media projects under Lightroom, a new industry platform for immersive storytelling, which brings together all XR, VR and interactive projects previously presented across CineMart and Darkroom, creating one unified space for immersive work.
Ellen Kuo, formerly of NewImages Festival and manager and curator at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, joins IFFR Pro as special consultant for Lightroom, working closely with IFFR’s Eva Langerak, who oversees both Art Directions and Lightroom.
