KC Global Media Distribution has unveiled a slate of four productions for 2026 through strategic collaborations with Asian players including the Philippines’ Rein Entertainment, Singapore’s Mocha Chai Laboratories and Taiwan’s Deepwater Laboratories.

The slate is headed by Rein Entertainment’s redemption drama Laya, starring child actor turned Gen Z role model Andrea Brillantes and directed by Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo. Currently in production in Cebu, the film follows a young woman who drifts from place to place carrying an unresolved anger from the loss of her father at a young age, until her path crosses with a lonely ex-criminal, also haunted by shadows from the past.

Rein and KC Global previously collaborated on six-part series Drug War: A Conspiracy Of Silence and recently signed a five-title pact that kicks off with crime drama Dose, which was presented at this year’s Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF).

KC Global has also boarded Decalcomania, a co-production between Singapore’s Mocha Chai Laboratories and Thailand’s The One Enterprise. The mystery thriller series, built around a body swapping premise, stars Pierre Png (Crazy Rich Asians), Thai actor Thaneth Warakulnukroh (Mad Unicorn),  Cynthia Koh  (Confinement),  rising star  Gladys Ng,  and  Hong Hui Fang  (Ajoomma).

Also on the slate unveiled at ATF in Singapore, KC Global has joined Singapore’s Mocha Chai Laboratories and Empire of Arkadia on adventure drama Lost And Found, described as Singapore’s first scripted collaboration with  Japanese public broadcaster  NHK. Singapore actor Shawn Thia stars in the series, about a Singaporean gamer who journeys abroad in search of his missing online girlfriend, which is currently in production.

The fourth title, A Controversial Entertainer, is a Taiwanese comedy about the unexpected transformation of five ordinary men into top male hosts, which KC Global is co-producing with Taiwan’s Deepwater Laboratories. The cast is headed by Marcus Chang  (Lost Romance), Amanda Chou  (The Devil Punisher),  Alex Chou  (The Chronicles Of  Libidoists),  Wes  Lo  (The Wonder Woman)  and  Chih  Tian Shih  (The Post-Truth World).

“The range and ambition of the 2026  slate  underscores  our commitment to championing Asian creators,”  said  KC Global Media co-founder, president and CEO George Chien. “We are excited to work with partners who share our belief in the power of culturally rooted stories with global potential.”
