Asian Cinema Fund 2026: Funding News
Busan International Film Festival's Asian Cinema Fund has selected 12 projects for its 2026 funding round.
Asian Cinema Fund has selected 12 projects for its 2026 funding round, including three Script Development Fund projects, two Post-Production Fund projects, and seven Documentary Fund projects.
The fund is operated by Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM), the official industry platform of Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). It supports script development for Asian independent feature-length fiction projects in the planning and development stages; post-production for Korean independent feature-length fiction films that have completed filming and editing; and production for feature-length independent documentaries in the Asian Project and Korean Project categories.
Selected projects also have opportunities to reach audiences and connect with domestic and international film industry professionals through BIFF and ACFM.
“This year’s selections draw on personal experience to engage with broader questions facing contemporary society, including identity and migration, historical memory, family and care, conflict, and coexistence,” said ACF organisers in a statement. “The projects stood out for developing personal narratives into broader social and ethical questions and expressing them through distinct cinematic approaches.”
This year’s ACFM is taking place October 10-13 during Busan International Film Festival (October 6-15).
