Venice Gap-Financing Market has selected 66 projects for its 2026 edition, including 38 feature-length fiction and documentary projects, 14 immersive projects, 11 Biennale College immersive projects and three Biennale College cinema projects.
The event is being held September 4-6 as part of Venice Production Bridge, taking place during the 83rd Venice International Film Festival (September 2-12, 2026). Selected projects will be given the opportunity to close their international financing through one-to-one meetings with international decision-makers.
Venice Production Bridge is co-financed by the European Commission’s MEDIA Programme. In 2026 the VPB Focuses will be Greece, supported by Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Centre, and Switzerland, supported by Swiss Films.
In the feature-length section, 31 fiction projects have been selected (20 from Europe and 11 from around the world) that have at least 70% of their funding in place and are looking to complete their funding package through minority co-production.
Seven documentary projects have also been selected (2 from Europe and 5 from around the world) fulfilling the same requirements as the fiction films. Projects from Greece and Switzerland, the VPB Focuses 2026, are included in this line-up.
